LM35DZ
The LM35 series comprises precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors, delivering an output voltage linearly proportional to the temperature in Celsius. Unlike Kelvin-calibrated sensors, the LM35 eliminates the need to subtract a large constant voltage for convenient Centigrade scaling. With typical accuracies of ±¼°C at room temperature and ±¾°C across the full -55°C to 150°C temperature range, external calibration or trimming isn’t necessary. Cost-effectiveness is ensured through wafer-level trimming and calibration.
Featuring low-output impedance, linear output, and inherent calibration, interfacing with readout or control circuitry is straightforward. The LM35 operates with single or dual power supplies, drawing only 60 μA, resulting in minimal self-heating of less than 0.1°C in still air. It’s rated to function within a wide temperature range from -55°C to 150°C, while the LM35C model covers -40°C to 110°C (-10°C with improved accuracy).
Packaging options include hermetic TO transistor packages for LM35-series devices, and plastic TO-92 packages for LM35C, LM35CA, and LM35D variants. The LM35D is also available in an 8-lead surface-mount small-outline package and a plastic TO-220 package.
