Waveshare Liquid Level Sensor
The Mini Liquid Level Sensor is crafted for vertical insertion in damp settings to gauge liquid levels from 0 to 1.88 inches (48mm), or to function as an alarm. The 28090 sensor features a solitary analog output that can be connected directly to the Propeller Activity Board’s 4-channel A/D converter or interfaced with ease to the MCP3002 A/D via a FLiP Multicore Microcontroller. It is optimal for water level alarms in moisture-sensitive areas, as a water level gauge for fluid tanks, and as a stream-level monitor in a managed reservoir (stream well).
This sensor is designed to ascertain the level of liquid within a container. It operates on a voltage range of 2.0 V to 5.0 V. The output is an analog voltage that rises in correlation with the immersion depth of the probe, ensuring compatibility with most development boards, such as Arduino. The sensor functions effectively up to a 48 mm range.
Application:
- Water level alarm for moisture-sensitive environments
- Water level indicator for fluid reservoirs
- Stream-level indicator when used in a controlled reservoir (stream well)
Features:Â
- Output voltage boosts along with the immersion depth of the module.
- Supported by Blockly Prop and C library interfaces
- 2V to 5V analog output is easy to read by many controllers or A/D converters
- 9in (22cm) 3-pin female-female extension cable included
- 2.0mm mounting holes allow for rigid installation
- Detects tiny amounts of change in liquid levels in tight-space applications
- Fast response time
- Suitable for a variety of non-corrosive or non-toxic liquids (not meant for foods)
