This L293D Motor Driver Shield for Arduino is a versatile product that can be used for various robotic projects. It has 2 servo connectors and 4 motor connectors that can support DC or stepper motors. It uses the L293D chip to drive the DC motor and stepper, and the Arduino pin9 and pin10 to drive the servo.
The L293D is a 4-channel driver that can handle high voltage and current. It can use DC motors and power supplies up to 36 Volts, and it can provide a maximum current of 600mA per channel. The L293D chip is also an H-Bridge, which is an electrical circuit that allows a voltage to be applied in either direction to an output, such as a motor.
The shield has two L293D motor drivers and one 74HC595 shift register. The shift register expands 3 pins of the Arduino to 8 pins to control the direction of the motor drivers. The output enables the L293D are directly connected to the PWM outputs of the Arduino.
