MS 4525DO Air Speed Sensor And Pitot Tube Set for Pixhawk
If you need a very precise measurement of your PIXHAWK airspeed, you should consider the Pixhawk Digital Airspeed Sensor with its own pitot tube. This sensor works with the Pixhawk PX4 autopilot system and has a high-quality MS 4525DO Air Speed Sensor And Pitot Tube Set.
This sensor has a high-resolution, low-offset digital pressure sensor that can detect very small changes in airspeed. Unlike older analog airspeed systems, this sensor is not affected by noise from long cables or by ratio-metric outputs.
The MS 4525DO sensor can measure speeds up to 100m/s (223mph/360kmh) with a resolution of 0.84 Pa. It uses a 24-bit delta-sigma ADC to deliver data at 14 bits. It also has a temperature sensor that allows calculating the true airspeed from the indicated airspeed using the MS5611 static pressure sensor on the Pixhawk PX4.
The Pixhawk Airspeed Sensor Kit has a Measurement Specialties 4525DO sensor with a 1 psi measurement range (about 100 m/s or 360 km/h or 223 mp/h). It also measures temperature to calculate the true airspeed from the indicated airspeed using the MS5611 static pressure sensor on Pixhawk. The temperature sensor is not influenced by the heat of nearby components, so it is more accurate than previous analog sensors. This kit supports all Pixhawk and PX4 autopilot boards and has M3 / 6-32 mounting holes.
This unit is only for fixed-wing aircrafts using the Pixhawk PX4 autopilot system. It is not needed for multi-copters.
