MQ-131 Ozone Gas Detection Sensor
Ozone sensors are specifically engineered to monitor ground-level ozone, a pollutant known for its irritating effects on the nose and lungs. The MQ131 gas sensor utilizes a semiconductor metallic oxide as its sensitive material, which exhibits high conductivity in clean air. As ozone gas is detected, the sensor’s conductivity decreases in proportion to the concentration of the gas. This change in conductivity can be translated into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration using a straightforward circuit. With its high sensitivity to ozone, the MQ131 sensor is capable of detecting even low levels of the gas. However, it is also sensitive to other strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine (Cl2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). Notably, the sensor responds inversely to organic interference gases.
