AD8232 ECG Monitor Sensor Module
The AD8232 ECG sensor module Kit for Arduino is a board that measures the electrical activity of the heart and outputs it as an analog signal. This signal can be displayed as an ECG or Electrocardiogram, which shows the heart’s rhythm and beats.
The AD8232 is a single-lead heart rate monitor that acts as an op-amp to reduce the noise from the ECG signal, especially from the PR and QT intervals. The AD8232 ECG module is suitable for ECG and other bio-potential measurement applications.
The AD8232 ECG module can extract, amplify, and filter small bio-potential signals even in noisy environments, such as when the electrodes are placed far from the heart or when the user is moving.
The AD8232 Heart Rate Monitor has nine pins that you can connect to pins, wires, or other connectors. You need SDN, LO+, LO-, OUTPUT, 3.3V, and GND to operate this monitor with an Arduino or another development board.
You can also use RA (Right Arm), LA (Left Arm), and RL (Right Leg) pins to attach your own custom sensors. There is also an LED indicator that flashes with the heartbeat. You need Biomedical Sensor Pads and Sensor Cable to use the heart monitor. You can find them in the Recommended Products section.
