Frequency Adjustable Pulse Generator Module NE555
This module is a square wave signal generator that uses the NE555 timer IC. It can adjust the pulse frequency and duty cycle of the output signal, but they are not independent of each other. The output signal has a single channel and a duty ratio of about 50%.
The module can generate pulses from about 4Hz to 1.3Khz, depending on the setting of the frequency adjustment knob. It has a power indicator LED and uses the NE555 timer IC as an astable multivibrator. It is suitable for applications such as stepper motor control, testing, etc.
The NE555 timer IC is a versatile chip that can be used for various timing, pulse generation, and oscillator functions. It can operate as a timer, an oscillator, or a flip-flop. It has several variants that offer up to four timing circuits in one package. It was first introduced in 1971 by Signetics and is still widely used because of its simplicity, low cost, and stability. It is available in both bipolar and low-power CMOS versions.
This module can produce square wave signals for experimental development or for driving motors. It can also provide adjustable pulses for microcontrollers and other pulse-controlled circuits.
